Qeezox Board's geometry mode tries to turn a rough hand-drawn shape into a clean circle, square, or triangle in real time, as you draw it. This note covers what the current approach gets right, and where it still struggles.
What works well
- Closed, roughly convex shapes drawn at a normal pace recognise reliably
- Recognition runs client-side, so there's no round-trip latency while you're drawing
Where it still struggles
- Very fast strokes, where the pointer sampling misses part of the shape
- Deliberately irregular shapes that are ambiguous between two categories
This is active, ongoing work — the goal is a tool that helps in a classroom setting without getting in the way when someone genuinely wants to draw a scribble.
